Julie and Jeffrey McDonnell are intuitive healers, teachers, mentors, and authors whose lives are anchored in faith, family, and the immense impact of Divine love. Their personal and divinely inspired mission is to open hearts to God's boundless love for each of us, a mission born from a transformative experience that reshaped their lives.

In the fall of 2011, Jeffrey underwent what some might call a "spiritual awakening" or spontaneous Kundalini experience, which led him to an emotional and physical breakdown. This challenging period culminated in an emergency room visit and a stay in a psychiatric ward. It was here, during his darkest hour, that Jeffrey experienced a profound encounter with Jesus. Amidst his despair, Jeffrey prayed for solace. In response, he witnessed a vision of Jesus comforting him, affirming unconditional love and the simple yet powerful message: “God loves you just as you are today; there is nothing you need to change.”

This pivotal moment offered Jeffrey a new lease on life and ignited a shared spiritual journey with Julie. Witnessing the changes in her husband, Julie embraced this deeper spiritual path, fostering a closer relationship with God. Together, they have found renewed purpose in sharing this experience of unconditional divine love through their work.

Jeffrey, once a COO and Director, now a trained energy healer, brings his insights into personal transformation and spiritual healing into their works. With her Doctorate in Education, a 30-year career as an elementary teacher and administrator, certified life coach, and children’s author, Julie combines her educational expertise with her spiritual insights, enriching their collaborative projects.

Today, they co-author prayer journals and inspirational books that explore the transformative power of prayer, the beauty of divine relationships, and the journey to recognizing one's perfect soul. Their upcoming works, including The Power of Prayer, Divine Relationship, and The Perfect Soul, invite readers to explore spirituality, embrace divine love, and discover the sacred in the everyday.

As proud parents and loving grandparents, Julie and Jeffrey celebrate life with their family, grounding their teachings in life's everyday joys and challenges. Their story is one of resilience, redemption, and the enduring strength of love—a testament to faith's transformative power and the divine's everlasting support.

Dr. Julie McDonnell, EdD, has always believed in the power of picture books to spark imagination and inspire learning. As a former elementary teacher with 30 years in education, she cherished using stories to engage her students. Now, as a devoted grandmother to Nadia and Callan, she finds endless inspiration in their boundless curiosity and joy, reminding her of the timeless lessons of childhood.

This inspiration blossomed into Bailey and Buttons, a heartwarming series designed to empower, inspire, and uplift children (and adults) while fostering meaningful connections through shared reading experiences.

Julie lives in St. Louis, Missouri, with her husband and family. She is a certified life coach, loves being a Mimi, and can often be found swinging on playground swings and celebrating the simple joys of life.

After 26 successful years as a General Manager at a Fortune 10 company, Jeffrey left the corporate world in 2015 to follow a new calling. During his tenure, he led teams in the outsourcing sector, helping large companies and government organizations tackle complex challenges with creative solutions.

In 2015, Jeffrey transitioned to a new role as the COO of Eden Method, an alternative energy healing company. While training as an Energy Healer, he guided the company to unparalleled international growth. He had the honor and blessing of being guided and mentored by two of the greatest minds in energy healing, Donna Eden and Dr. David Feinstein.

Rooted in faith and family, Jeffrey now dedicates his life to serving others as an intuitive healer, mentor, and author. As a former business leader and trained energy healer, he uses his unique blend of skills to help individuals and organizations heal, grow, and realize their fullest potential.

Family is central to Jeffrey's life with his wife, Julie. As proud parents to two adult children, Jessica and Ciara, and grandparents to two beloved grandchildren, Nadia and Callan, they cherish their roles as “PopPop” and “Mimi.” Their business, Creating Our Own Light, LLC (COOL), reflects their commitment to helping others connect with the Divine through prayer journals, inspirational books, intuitive healing, mentoring, and other uplifting resources.
